We just keep GROWING! Parlee Farms is getting ready to open for the 2008 season. It has been 20 years since we first opened our fields to the public. Thank you to all who have supported us, helped us grow, and have become our friends! We will reopen in early June when the strawberries are ready for picking. To get ready for the 2008 season, we have been been busy with maintenance of the buildings and roadways around the farm, we have added more underground irrigation lines, and have continued planting. Although the results won’t be seen for this year, we added 500 apple trees, 500 blueberry bushes, 50 sweet cherry trees, and 34,000 strawberry plants this spring. Our mother goats have been busy as well, adding 10 new babies to Annie's Animal Barns. We - and the goats -just keep growing! Our pick-your-own crops include strawberries, blueberries, cut
flowers, raspberries, apples, and pumpkins. Check out our Harvest
Schedule for an approximate picking schedule.
Our pick-your-own crops are also available already picked at our
Farmstand, as are jams made from our
fruit and honey from our beekeeper. When in season, our own peaches, corn
and vegetables, other first quality seasonal vegetables, and bakery items
are available. We carry a large selection of potted flowers including
hanging baskets, patio pots, and perennials from June into October.
While at the farm, don't forget to stop by Mary's Country Kitchen for a fresh fruit dessert, ice cream or coffee! We're sure you won't be able to resist visiting our young farm animals at Annie's Animal Barns! If you are a teacher, please consider bringing your students to Parlee Farms for a School Tour in the fall. We hope everyone enjoys their experience at Parlee Farms!
