General Information about
Parlee Farms
In addition to picking your own fruits and flowers, Parlee Farms
offers other wonderful activities that you can enjoy with your family!
Annies
Animal Barn continues to be a must see for children
and adults. We have two barns filled with young farm animals to
feed and pet.
We have baby goats, sheep, bunnies, chickens, and ducks. The sheep
and goats eat right out of your hand, while the chickens and ducks
run to the troth when feed is put down the feeding tube! Our main
attraction is "Annie's Goats in the Trees". It is a fabulous
goat walk where you can send goat food to the top platform to feed
the goats over 20 feet up! When you are done feeding the animals,
we have installed handwashing stations with running water, soap,
and paper towels to help keep those little fingers clean!
During
the fall months, our Hay Play Area is the focal point for
family fun! Located next to Annies Animal Barns, this arrangement
of round straw bales is great fun for children and adults to walk
and jump on! We construct a new Hay Play Area by Labor Day - we
need to be able to bale enough hay!
Marys Country Kitchen offers tasty treats related
to each picking season, as well as a great selection of ice cream.
During strawberry season, our menu features mouthwatering desserts
such as our delicious Old Fashioned Strawberry Shortcake made with
fresh baked scones, smothered with our fresh picked strawberries,
and topped with whipped cream.
The summer season offers fresh raspberry sundaes and fresh fruit
frappes. During the fall, our farmstand is filled with the smell
of warm apple crisp and hot cider. To warm you up on those cool
mornings or just to get a jump-start, pick up a hot cup of coffee.
Whatever you choose, you can enjoy it while sitting by Annies
Animal Barns and enjoying our beautiful scenery.
School
Tours at Parlee Farms are both fun and educational.
We offer age-appropriate fall school tours for children in preschool
through grade 3. School tours are available by appointment from
September 16 through October 24, Tuesday through Friday from 9:30
am to 1:30 pm. We have apple picking, pumpkin picking, and a combination
(apple and pumpkin picking) tours. If you would like more information,
please check out our School Tours page.
We hope you consider us for your
school outing this fall!
Located on 93 beautiful acres near the Merrimack
River in Tyngsboro, Parlee Farms offers the finest fruits and vegetables.
In producing these crops, Parlee Farms practices Integrated Pest Management
(IPM). The objective of IPM is not to eliminate all pests but to prevent
pest populations from reaching damaging levels. We have an IPM consultant
scout our fields weekly for pests and diseases. As a first line of
defense against damaging insects, predator insects are released into
the field. Often, this release is effective in keeping damaging insects
in check. Spraying is only done when a pest or disease reaches a level
that could seriously harm the crop. Parlee Farms is concerned about
the environment and will continue to work towards raising the best
produce for you and your family to enjoy for years to come.
For the comfort of all of our visitors
and to comply with safe farm practices, do not bring your pets to
the farm. Thank you!
